What to Expect

What is homeopathy?

Many people confuse homeopathy and homeopathic medicine with herbal remedies or with the broad field of alternative or natural medicine. Homeopathy is a scientific method of triggering your body’s self-healing potential to strengthen the immune system and restore health. It is a holistic medicine that integrates the body and mind together so you that will experience increased physical, mental and emotional health. Clients often report better sleep, more energy and feeling more joy, freedom, relaxation and peacefulness after homeopathic treatment.

For a homeopath, the emphasis is less on what you have (diagnosis) and more on how you have it (your individual expression of the symptoms).

How is working with a homeopath different than conventional medicine?

Symptoms are the body’s way of communicating an imbalance or a lack of homeostasis. Unlike conventional medicine and their approach to treating isolated symptoms, classical homeopathy is holistic healthcare that integrates body and mind. Homeopathy does not treat symptoms or conditions, it treats the whole person. Your consultation is bio-individualized to your unique mental, emotional and physical expressions…how your particular concerns and sensations manifest and what makes them characteristic.

A certified homeopath does not diagnose or treat specific symptoms, diseases or conditions. Robin is a board-certified classical homeopath and works from a holistic perspective to improve general vitality, in cooperation with each client’s primary care practitioner.

Can I work with a homeopath AND a conventional doctor?

Absolutely! Homeopathy is a beautiful system of holistic medicine that appeals to clients interested in taking a more natural approach to health & vitality. Most clients have a primary care provider as well as specialists, as needed. Robin is a board-certified classical homeopath and works from a holistic perspective to improve general vitality, in cooperation with each client’s primary care practitioner.

Do you work with clients with chronic conditions?

Yes! While, homeopathy does not treat specific symptoms, diseases or conditions, homeopathy affects the entire person and thus offers potential to restore health and vitality.

Some examples of conditions homeopathy has helped include: migraines, insomnia, anxiety, depression, trauma, shock, grief, fatigue, vertigo, respiratory complaints, digestive ailments, bladder troubles, reproductive health, musculoskeletal pain, skin conditions, and more.

Do you work with clients for sudden onset (acute) conditions?

Yes! Homeopathy can work to stimulate the immune system to begin restoring health for shorter term complaints. Examples of acute conditions include: ear or sinus infections, cough/cold/flu, vomitting, diarrhea/constipation, urinary/bladder infections, kidney stones, broken bones, sprains/strains, accidents/traumas, burns, pre-surgery prep/post-operation recovery, hives, poison oak/ivy, eczema, cellulitis, and more.

Can you help me reduce/eliminate the need for pharmaceuticals?

Only a prescribing medical doctor can make changes/adjustment to your current medication regimine. With increased vitality and monitoring, there may be potential for your doctor(s) to reduce quantity/frequency of pharmaceuticals. Many clients have reported a reduction in required medication(s) after incorporating homeopathic remedies into their wellness plan.

In addition to discussing your primary complaint(s), we will explore your health history, a head-to-toe review, and general symptoms (such as thirst, perspiration, sleep, energy, etc.)

What forms do I need to complete prior to my first appointment?

I contacted Robin Roppo when my 6 month old son contracted an ear infection. Robin was warm, thorough (took the time to ask a lot of relevant questions), and suggested a protocol that 1.) provided my son with immediate relief, and 2.) healed his ear infection within a few days – naturally, and much more quickly than the 10 day course of antibiotics the western ER doctor recommended. I am so grateful for Robin’s expertise, I recommend her highly.
